
Chris Clarke
Born in Christchurch, Chris graduated from Canterbury University in 1986 with bachelor degrees in commerce and law. He has had a varied career in the New Zealand health sector, plus experience working in Europe with the World Health Organisation. From 2003 to February 2009, he was CEO of the Hawke's Bay District Health Board. He became the CEO of World Vision New Zealand in 2010.
Chris recently led a team of NZ celebrities to climb Africa’s highest peak, Mt Kilimanjaro in order to raise awareness of World Vision’s newly launched ‘Micro ’, which is all about giving small loans to Micro entrepreneurs to help them get their own way out of poverty.
