Dr Michelle Dickinson
Nanotechnologist & Science Educator
'Nanogirl' Michelle Dickinson MNZM is a passionate researcher and teacher with a love of science and engineering. Her background is in Biomedical and Materials Engineering. She is currently a senior lecturer in Engineering at the University of Auckland.
Michelle is also a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit, Sir Peter Blake Leadership award winner in 2015, winner of the Prime Minister's Science Media Communication Prize and the New Zealand Association of Scientists Science Communicators Award in 2014. Michelle is also co-founder of the charity OMGTech!.
Her hobbies include kitesurfing, rock climbing and mountain biking as well as working towards finding solutions for science-related questions.
