Frankie Stevens

Frankie was born in Wellington, has 10 brothers and sisters and is of Maori/Scottish decent.
From an early age, he knew that singing was going to be an important part of his life. His professional career began officially at the age of sixteen, when he moved to Sydney and joined a singing group. He later left to try his luck as a solo artist in NZ and then in the UK and USA.


Over the next few years Stevens toured with a number of international stars, such as Olivia Newton John, Shirley Bassey, Milton Berle and Sammy Davis Jnr. just to name a few.


He played Caiaphas in a New Zealand touring theatre production of Jesus Christ Superstar.


After returning from another stint in Australia he had the opportunity to tour New Zealand with Sir Howard Morrison which he regards as personal highlight of his career.


He married his childhood sweetheart Margaret and they have two children, Amanda and Taryn.
