Real Life with John Cowan

Founding member of the band America Gerry Beckley has been with the legendary Grammy Award-winning rock group for over 50 years. The trio met as sons of US Air Force personnel stationed in London, where they began performing live. The band found success in 1971 with 'A Horse With No Name'.

Gerry's new solo album 'Keeping the Light On' was released last month.

Gerry has two sons, Matthew and Joe. He splits his time between Sydney and California, usually flying back and forth about five times a year.
