Real Life with John Cowan

Jim Hickey was the senior weather presenter for TVNZ between 1988 and 2003, he then returned in 2007 until his retirement in 2014. Hickey has a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with specialization in climatology, and a Diploma of Meteorology.

Hickey has also been a high school teacher and has owned various businesses including his current chain of Airspresso cafes. In 1995 he set up Rustic Road Productions - making programmes for TVNZ including Jim's Car Show, A Flying Visit, and documentaries like How's the Weather Jim? He has also fronted Country Calendar and several other lifestyle programmes.
