Jon Bridges
Jon became well known to New Zealand audiences as one of the Ice TV trio in the nineties. He has since moved on from just presenting and does a considerable amount of work in both writing and producing.
In his spare time, Jon loves to ride bikes. This passion started on his seventh birthday when he received a shiny new maroon Raleigh with white mudguards and grey plastic handlebar grips. His love of riding then took him overseas on a 5500 kilometre bike odyssey around Europe and has most recently been the topic of his first book, Easy Rider.
Easy Rider is all about the joys of riding a bike in New Zealand and provides a complete beginners’ guide, from riding for fun, to commuting, riding for fitness, mountain biking and even racing.
Jon comes from Palmerston North but now lives with his wife Gemma in Balmoral..
