Originally from the Hawkes Bay, Josh studied physical education at Otago University in Dunedin, where his talents on the rugby field were quickly acknowledged and developed.
During his international career, Josh played 56 games for the All Blacks. After a few years playing for overseas for the English club, Leicester Tigers, he returned to New Zealand to retire from first-class rugby.
Josh has held a number of high profile roles within the media since, including sports commentary, and being a contestant in TVNZ’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
Josh is married to Bron and they have a son named Cassius.
