Jude Dobson
Broadcaster
Jude Dobson became a familiar television presence in the 1990s presenting a run of lifestyle shows, and her own five night a week series. After beginning on quiz show Sale of the Century, she went on to helm almost 1000 episodes of 5.30 with Jude. In 2002 she set up production companies Homegrown Television and Raising Children Media to make accessible, useful video content for parents.
Jude's Family Matters column has appeared in The NZ Herald; she has also written an advice column in The New Zealand Woman’s Weekly and takes on varied contract writing gigs. Aside from her first love of taking good content from idea to reality, she also creates commercial and charitable projects, including event managing school fundraisers.
In April, Jude produced and directed Then & Now in commemoration of ANZAC Day. The documentary follows the inception of our Air Force through to the present day and provides a rare opportunity to get airborne with our people.
