Mark Powell

Born and raised in Wales, Mark’s original training and experience was in the coal mining industry where he completed a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering and worked for 6 years.


In 1986 he joined Iceland PLC, a UK food retailer, and went on to hold a number of management roles in Wal-Mart and Tesco in Canada and Spain.


Migrating permanently to New Zealand in 2002, he began work with The Warehouse Group. In the last decade Mark has held a number of different part-time and full-time roles within the company, including Interim CEO of the Australian operations, and CEO of Warehouse Stationery.


Mark has completed a Bachelor’s degree in theology at Carey Baptist College in Auckland as well as holding Masters degrees in Logistics and Business.


Mark is married with two daughters.
