Mike McRoberts is TV3's 6 o'clock news anchor.
He has reported from the scene of the Christchurch quake and the Japanese tsunami and from war zones all around the world. Mike has graced our screens every night at 6pm. He has also won numerous journalism awards for his effort over the years.
He is often reporting from some of the most dangerous places in the world and after having seen the difference UNICEF makes to children in those areas, Mike became a UNICEF ambassador.
He is not only a ‘global parent' but also father to two children, Maia and Ben. Mike and his wife Paula Penfold, also a TV3 reporter, live with their two children in Auckland. In his spare time Mike enjoys spending time with his family, reading, rugby and music
