Scotty Stevenson is a senior sportswriter for The Spinoff, as well as a commentator for Spark Sport, sports reporter for 1 News and lead Spark and TVNZ's coverage of the 2019 Rugby World Cup. He was named New Zealand Magazine Sport Feature Writer of the year at the 2012 Canon Media Awards.

Scotty's latest book, Keiran Read: Straight 8 which he co-authored with the former All Blacks captain was released on Friday is an insight into the life of the boy from Papakura who first donned the jersey as a 23-year-old, which lead to 127 test appearances and the captaincy. Scotty has written two best-selling sports books, Cory Jane: Winging It (2015) and The Kiwi Pair (with Hamish Bond and Eric Murray, 2016).
