Sean Plunket

This Sunday on Real Life (20th May) John Cowan's guest will be broadcast journalist, Sean Plunket.

Perhaps best known for his astute style of interviewing, Sean spent 14 years co-hosting Radio New Zealand's Morning Report. Since 2010 he's hosted Sean Plunket Mornings on NewstalkZB and writes a monthly political column for Metro Magazine.

Born in Christchurch, Sean studied journalism in Wellington and has also worked a number of years in television - including spells on Fair Go, the current affairs program Holmes, TV3's political correspondent, and most recently hosting TV3's political programme, The Nation.

Touched by the Pike River Mine tragedy in 2010, Sean wrote a poem, "The Men of Pike", to honour and remember the 29 men who died.
