Terrible Sons is a husband and wife duo, Lauren and Matt Barus, who reside in a small intentional community in Ōtautahi, Christchurch with their two children. Their music draws inspiration from their local neighbourhood and explores universal human experiences of exhaustion, heartbreak, and loneliness. Terrible Sons has gained a significant following, surpassing the listenership of many other New Zealand bands.
