The Very Rev Jo Kelly-Moore
The Dean of Auckland's Holy Trinity Cathedral Jo Kelly-Moore has been appointed the new Archdeacon of Canterbury. She will work with the Bishop of Dover, Trevor Willmott, to oversee the Archdeaconry of Canterbury, in what is a significant and senior appointment in the Church of England.
Before ordination, the new archdeacon was a lawyer in both London and New Zealand – something that will no-doubt come in useful in her new role; as archdeacons in the Church of England have specific legal responsibilities.
Jo started her role at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Parnell after serving six years as Vicar of St Aidan’s Anglican Church in Remuera. Before training for ministry Jo Kelly-Moore was a lawyer, both in New Zealand and in London.
