
Tom Scott
Tom Scott is an award winning political columnist, editorial cartoonist, script writer and playwright. While originally intending to become a veterinarian, he later changed to a Bachelor of Science in Physiology instead. It was during his study at university that he was involved in the university magazine and developed a love for journalism.
Tom has had great success as a cartoonist, winning many awards including Qantas ‘Cartoonist of the Year’ multiple times during the 1990’s. He also helped turn the famous comic strip Footrot Flats into a movie script. Tom is a holder of an ONZM and was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2002 by Massey University.
