Adam Parore is a former Black Caps wicket-keeper who recently conquered Mt Everest.

Adam has had a long and impressive professional cricket career starting out as a first-class player for Auckland in 1988. He went on to play for New Zealand as one of the Black Caps for about a decade before he retired in 2002 with the title of New Zealand's most successful wicket-keeper. In 2008 he made a surprise decision to return to cricket joining the Indian Cricket League to play with the Chennai Superstars.

Adam has used his profile as a professional sportsman to establish his successful business, Adam Parore Mortgages.

More recently Parore has become obsessed with mountaineering and after more than a year of intensive training he reached the top of Mt Everest just last week. The entire endeavour was conducted on behalf of the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Adam lives in Auckland and is a father of two.
