Josh Kronfeld

Born in Hastings in 1971, Josh was only 23 when he played his debut game as an All Black against Canada just weeks before the 1995 Rugby World Cup in South Africa. Despite being a newcomer and relative youngster, he went on to play a dominant role in the world cup.

Originally from the Hawkes Bay, Josh studied physical education at Otago University in Dunedin, where his talents on the rugby field were quickly acknowledged and developed.

During his international career, Josh played 56 games for the All Blacks. After a few years playing for overseas for the English club, Leicester Tigers, he returned to New Zealand to retire from first-class rugby.

Josh has held a number of high profile roles within the media since, including sports commentary, and being a contestant in TVNZ’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’.

Josh is married to Bron and they have a son named Cassius.
