Te Radar

Te Radar studied law at the University of Otago, but abandoned his original course of study to take up drama. He has gone on to become an award winning satirist, documentary maker, writer, stage and screen director, failed gardener, and amateur historian. He was also the presenter of six top rating TVNZ documentary series, Global RadarRadar Across the PacificRadar’s Patch, Off the RadarHomegrown and Hidden In The Numbers.

Off the Radar was Te Radar's attempt at sustainable living, spending ten months working on a small allotment. The show rated highly, and led to the publication of an accompanying book. The series was followed by a sequel, Radar's Patch, which won the 2010 award for Best Information/Lifestyle programme.

Radar has twice won the Qantas Media Award for Best Humour Column for his New Zealand Herald columns. He has directed a number of theatre shows, and performed comedy extensively throughout New Zealand and internationally, including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
