Fraser Grut
Filmmarker
Fraser Grut is an Auckland-born filmmaker and writer best known for his work on Chasing Marlon (2017), Syrenia (2015), and Asyrinthium (2013). He is also the visionary behind the global social documentary initiative "10,000 Dreams," a long-term project launched in December 2016 to film 10,000 people sharing their life aspirations.
What began as a bet with a friend has evolved into an inspiring mission to document human hopes—from everyday individuals to global celebrities—with the aim of encouraging others to pursue their own dreams. At a personal low point at age 27, Fraser received an unexpected opportunity to direct a music video for The Wiggles and All Blacks legend Richie McCaw. This collaboration led to a documentary project with The Wiggles, helping him rebuild both professionally and personally.
Fraser Grut has been married to Jayde Grut since 2022.
