Beyond the track, Murph has become a familiar voice and face as a commentator and motorsport TV presenter. He is also a passionate road safety advocate, promoting smarter driving and better training through initiatives such as the “Murph in Schools” programme launched with the Motor Trade Association in 2010, and a youth-focused road safety campaign developed with Holden New Zealand in 2019.
